Medical Devices & Coatings
Bio-inert implant:
STAR-MING (Surgically Maneuverable Technically Advanced, Rejection-free Material for Implant) is a nanocomposite-based bio-inert implant material developed in Japan, which has demonstrated safety and efficacy in initial preclinical studies and a pilot clinical study with nine years of follow-up, as presented at the JAAM meeting. This material shows strong potential for use in cosmetology as an aesthetic filler and as a breast implant, subject to further clinical evaluation and regulatory approval.
Bio-inert Coating:
BLIS-COAT (Bio-inert Low IgG-Sensitive Coating) is an innovative surface-coating technology designed to enhance the biocompatibility and tissue compatibility of implantable medical devices. This advanced coating minimizes immune responses, particularly IgG deposition, making it especially suitable for applications requiring prolonged tissue contact, such as urinary catheters and other medical implants.

FESTIGEL:
Festigel® is a synthetic, thermoresponsive and excess endotoxin-free hydrogel (Free-from-Endotoxin-excess-Scaffold of Thermoresponsive Intelli-GEL) used as a scaffold for regenerative medicine applications. Medical Device approval process is underway.
