German Society for Stem Cell Research Academic Journal JSRM Publication

We publish the Journal of Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine (JSRM).

JSRM is the official journal of the German Society for Stem Cell Biology (GSZ), with its first issue published in 2006.

It is an open-access online journal publishing papers on basic research, translational research, and clinical studies in stem cells and regenerative medicine, as well as various related fields such as biomaterials and nanotechnology.

It is indexed in PubMed, a database enabling searches of literature published in major global medical journals and has an Impact Factor of 1.6.

NCRM NICHE Regenerative Medicine Conference

NCRM NICHE is an academic conference in the field of regenerative medicine aimed at fostering young researchers in medicine, engineering, and other fields, and promoting interdisciplinary exchange.

Since 2006, the annual October event commemorating the founding of the Japan-India Center for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM) has served as a major platform for developing cutting-edge solutions through innovative ideas, including:

  • Cell therapy for male urethral stricture (BEES HAUS)
  • Tissue engineering technology for cell therapy in cartilage repair (EELS-TALK)
  • Methods for transporting and storing cells between hospitals and cell processing facilities
  • Corneal regeneration

and other cutting-edge solutions based on innovative ideas.

Furthermore, building on the active information exchange at these meetings, solutions using modifying agents for rare diseases with unmet needs—such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), multiple sclerosis (MS), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and Parkinson’s disease (PD)—are also being researched.

NCRM NICHE is structured around two pillars:

PKG (Passive Knowledge Gaining) ― Events requiring no preparation from participants
AKG (Active Knowledge Gaining) ― Events where participants actively acquire knowledge

PKG – Expert Lectures (Excerpts from lectures held from 2006 to 2026)

AKG-Fujio Cup Quiz

The Fujio Cup Quiz, which tests knowledge of regenerative medicine, features a final round contested by teams selected through preliminary rounds.

Participants in this competition must study and prepare for both the preliminary and final rounds. In the final round especially, they must answer questions posed by experts on the spot. Furthermore, since the final judging is based on presentations, each team prepares their presentation with great care and creativity.

The Fujio Cup Quiz is recruiting student participants. Eligibility requires teams to be composed of full-time students enrolled at the same institution for the entire academic year at the time of the event.
